If you want to work DX, the IARU contest is a great opportunity to snag a few more new countries. DXers call them ATNO = All Time New One. 10m will be hot this year, so get on with your 100W and a dipole. You’ll easily work a bunch of Europeans, Caribbean, and S. American stations.
Practice your skills using N1MM logger and then upload to Log of the World (LotW). No pressure. Just work what you can at your own pace. The big stations will be going fast, so listen for awhile to get the station details and notice the rhythm.
Do you think you have good code skills? CW ops will be blinding fast!
Look up the International Amateur Radio Union website. They are the international organization that advocates for amateur radio at international conferences where frequency allocations are decided. This is a very important organization and the ARRL is a member.
